Project Brief

For the client I outlined the proposed scope of work for the MVP design of EXHO, split across two phases. Phase 1 focused on the core MVP features that were must-haves for development, testing and launch readiness. Phase 2 focused on elevated features, that supported monetization, community-building, and engagement.

Process

Throughout this process, I worked and communicated closely with the client, through revisions of my progress, alignment on timeline, and addressing requirements or constraints.

1. Competitor Analysis

I benchmarked leading networking and music apps, analysing their user journey, features, and UI elements.

I then built out the design system using variable colour and sizing tokens for consistency,

4. Documentation

Design variations were tested against the current homepage using preference testing via Lyssna, gathering direct feedback from target users.

I compiled offline preference testing insights into clear test reports for client sign off, helping secure approval for development and live A/B testing

5. Developer Collaboration

Collaborated closely with the app developer to designed and develop a clean, modern interface with strong brand presence.

The outcome

EXHO MVP launched with a cohesive brand and intuitive mobile experience that resonated with its audience. The app’s design system now supports future scalability, and early feedback from a selected group of testers has been overwhelmingly positive. There is currently a waiting list of 500+ users.
